Open positions

Mandatory internship (m/f/d) Smart Metering and Electrical Engineering

At least 12 weeks · Full-time · Rolling start by arrangement · Berlin

What you will work on

We do not give you a fixed job description. You work on real tasks in these areas:

  • Testing, measurement technology and devices in the lab
  • Product quality and analysis of returns
  • Business processes from product to customer
  • Data processing, automation and AI tools
  • Technical documentation and communication between Germany and China

Each intern takes on one or two projects of their own. We decide together in the interview which ones, depending on current needs and your field of study.

What you will practise with us

  • Discovering problems: noticing that something is wrong, even when nobody points it out.
  • Defining problems: turning an unclear observation into measurable and testable criteria.
  • Using AI sensibly: breaking tasks down, deciding what the AI does and what you do yourself, and checking the AI’s results.
  • Getting hands-on: actually building and measuring things in the lab and on site.
  • Taking responsibility: delivering results that stand up to critical questions.

What you bring

  • Enrolment at a German university (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in electrical engineering, electronics, communications engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics, information technology or industrial engineering, or a comparable technically oriented degree programme
  • The internship is a mandatory internship under your study or examination regulations
  • At least 12 weeks, full-time, on site in Berlin
  • German or English at working level; knowledge of Chinese is a plus
  • Enjoyment of practical work and willingness to get to know measuring instruments and tools
  • You use AI tools and check their results

Perfect grades are not important to us. What matters to us is curiosity, enjoyment of hands-on work and the attitude of standing by your own results.
